I have been a DONA certified doula since 2002. I consider it an honor to be a part of such an intimate time in a familys life. By providing you with information and encouragement, together with your care providers, we will create a safe and relaxed environment in which you can birth how you choose. Text Box: Since the miraculous births of each of my own three daughters, I have been intrigued by the physical-spiritual connection enabled by the birth experience. I bring this spirit to my work assisting women and families with the hope that they will be empowered through the birth of their child. At every birth that I am privileged to attend, my role is to strengthen your resolve by providing real-time information on your status and options, gentle guidance, and compassionate care. Text Box: As a reproductive acupuncturist, I have assisted women during their struggles with fertility, pregnancy and during the postpartum period.  My experience as a laboring woman during the birth of my daughter in 2008, however, brought to light the importance of having the caring support of a trained professional, of having sufficient education to make informed decisions, and the empowerment those things can bring to a laboring woman and her partner.   Ive been a doula since 2009.  I honor any choices a birthing mother makes, and I hope I can help women make their choices from an informed, empowered place, trusting in the innate wisdom, intuition and grace of the birthing mother.
